Unnecessary Surgical Operations [excerpt]

It may be added here that the “eminent” physicians and surgeons who attended William McKinley knew no more about his case than any American man or woman of ordinary intelligence. They found out what was the matter—if they ever found it out—only after the gentle spirit of the beloved President had passed away and their own bloody instruments of “science” had mutilated his remains.
