President McKinley

We had intended to have something to say relative to the tragic death of this great man—our loved President.
We take it that all have read what the secular press has had to say upon this subject. It was our aim to have a few remarks as to the surgical treatment or rather mal-treatment that he was subjected to, and also the daily bulletins sent out by those in attendance upon our distinguished patient.
Since writing what we thought proper to say we have received assurances from one of our ablest writers, in New york [sic], that if we desire he will furnish our journal a complete story of the case with conclusions, etc., from an eclectic standpoint, hence we defer making any extended comments of [sic] the case at the present time.
