Southwestern Iowa Teachers’ Association [excerpt]
.
The Eighth Annual Meeting was formally opened
in the Auditorium of the High School building.
The wall back of the rostrum was draped with several
flags of the republic, while a large portrait of the martyred McKinley looked
down from its frame. Roses and chrysanthemums decorated the center of the rostrum.
