Across the Country [excerpt]
A former Albanian, William J. Gomph, of Buffalo, has been in town. Mr. Gomph is organist and music director of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church in Buffalo. He was official organist, when only eighteen, for the Pan-American Exposition, and shortly before the late President McKinley was shot he complimented the young musician on the excellence of the music programs of the exposition. Mr. Gomph studied in Paris, London and Berlin.
