Indignation in Honolulu
News of McKinley’s Assassination Creates Great Feeling.

Honolulu, Sept. 18.—The news of the attempted assassination of President McKinley was just received here last night on the City of Para, which left Port Los Angeles on the 6th of September. The report caused the greatest concern and indignation, and the courts adjourned and business generally was suspended until the later reports were received via the Ventura which brought mail advices up to September 12. The newspapers published extras with the news, the first time such an event occurred since the report of annexation came.
