Still Uncertain
The Report of the President’s Death Not Yet Confirmed.
At 10:34 last night a “flash” was received by the Postal Telegraph company, “McKinley dead.” This was the last news received, and although the telegraph office remained open until 12:05 and many attempts were made to get the exact facts, neither confirmation nor contradiction of the report could be obtained. The Prescott office was in communication with Denver, but got only the reply that not even bulletins were to be had.
