     THE trouble with the yellow journals and their unjustifiable attacks upon public men is that there are people who consider the papers great journals and representative of American sentiment. There actually are some who believe what they see in these yellow newspapers, who devour it far more eagerly than they would the truth and who form, as a result, wholly erroneous conceptions of the public men who are caricatured and maligned.
