  Assassinated
PRESIDENT MKINLEY DEAD.

  SHOT IN BUFFALO

At a Reception in the Temple of Music.
Just as we are going to press a bulletin has
been received, giving the awful news that William McKinley, the President of
the United States, had been assassinated, and was dead. No particulars can be
had, other than at a public reception, in the Temple of Music, while the President
was shaking the hand of an unknown man, he was shot at three times, each bullet
taking effect and the President expiring almost immediately.
The name of the assassin is not known.
