Guard at McKinley Vault Reduced
WASHINGTON, Dec. 1.—The detachment
of troops assigned to the duty of guarding the vault containing the remains
of the late President McKinley, in the West Lawn cemetery, Canton, O., has been
reduced to five non-commissioned officers and forty privates, under command
of Lieutenant William Ashbridge, Thirteenth Infantry.
The remainder of the guard has been sent to the
post at Fort Wayne, Mich.
