     The secret service men who have been employed to travel with the President ar[e] an unusually high type. Of cour[se], th[e]y have to b[e] men who could tr[a]vel in such a party and naturally seem to b[e]long to it. On[e] of the secret servic[e] ag[e]nts, S. R. I[r]el[a]nd, who was w[it]h Mr. McKinley at Buff[a]lo, is a [g]raduate of th[e] Univ[er]sity of Mi[c]hig[a]n, and was in l[ega]l practic[e] in Wa[s]hingt[o]n for some year[s]. H[e] might ea[s]ily pass as an under s[e]cretary of som[e] governm[e]nt department.
