Death Posters Stir a Town
NEW ALBANY, Ind., Sept. 10.—A great
commotion was caused in this place to-day by placards being posted in the streets
predicting McKinley’s death. The work was done by a stranger, who passed quickly
from place to place.
Before any one realized it the town was placarded
all over with the gruesome announcement. Then the stranger had disappeared.
The police are searching for him high and low
and the people are much excited. If the man should be caught it might go hard
with him.
