Close the Saloons Thursday

To the Editor of The Evening World:
Thursday is a day of national mourning, and as we reverence and respect that day, bow our heads in mourning with heartfelt sympathy for our departed and beloved President, I suggest closing the saloons, for with them open we desecrate the day.

AN AMERICAN WOMAN,
Daughter of a veteran, wife of a G. A. R. man.
