Notes [excerpt]

The program was replete with good papers, practical and to the point and many of the essayists were present to read their papers and hold their own in summing up the discussions. Our friend, Dr. Charles E. Walton gave us the [sic] “The President’s Case”—in his forceful, earnest style, and his contributary [sic] remarks based on a visit he paid President McKinley at the White House when in Washington in June, 1900, cast valuable side lights on this famous case.
