State News and Notes [excerpt]

     At the memorial exercises in honor of our lat[e] president, held by the Knights of Pythias of Waterloo, Supt. F. H. Bloo[d]good delivered an address on “Lessons From the Life of President McKinley.” It was a good presentation of the teachings which McKinley.” [sic] It was a good presentation of the teachings which McKinley exemplified and is worth reading by all. It was published in full in the Waterloo R[e]porter of October 1st.
