Odds and Ends [excerpt]
In May we had a visit from Auguste Benziger. He was on his return from the States, and brought with him a copy of the portrait [199][200] of the late President McKinley, which he was commissioned to paint for the White House. The painting has been on exhibition at Grave’s Gallery, and was highly praised by the Press.
