The Fake McKinley Letter Again

Culebra, Canal Zone,
April 20, 1911.

Editor The New Age:

It has just been brought to my attention that the chain letter scheme regarding the erection of a monument to McKinley is being revived again, and is receiving a decided impetus from Isthmian Masons, who innocently comply with its terms and perpetuate the fraud. Although I have seen this matter exposed many times in the Masonic press, and I also have a letter from Grand Secretary Ehlers stamping it as fraudulent, I believe it would be well to again mention the matter in the columns of The New Age, which has, I believe, the largest circulation on the Isthmus of any Masonic publication, and I accordingly submit the foregoing for such action as you may wish to take.
     Courteously and fraternally yours,

Gerald D. Bliss, 32º,
Olive Lodge 575, Sherman, N. Y.,
Buffalo, N. Y., Consistory.
