Persecuting the Innocent
The mob spirit is now strongly manifested in Cleveland, Ohio, where the awful crime of Czolgosz is being visited upon his family. His father is old and has a wife to support, yet employment is denied him. His life’s record shows that he is not an anarchist and there is no evidence whatever that he was in any way connected with the assassination of President McKinley. His daughter has been dismissed from her former place and is unable to find work. This is the situation which confronts the miserable and unfortunate Czolgosz family in the city of Cleveland, through no fault of their own, as they have always been peaceable and industrious.
