What McKinley Said about the Illumination

It’s fine! it’s grand! it’s a most magnificent spectacle! The people of Buffalo are to be praised for their enterprise in building this great Exposition. This is a scene which I never shall forget. Never before in my life have I seen anything which can surpass it in grandeur. Isn’t it wonderful? Isn’t it superb?—President McKinley to a NEWS reporter on Triumphal Bridge when the night illumination burst into all its glory last evening.
