Anarchists Disclaim Him
Boston Members Say the Assassin Does Not Represent Their Creed
An officer of the Boston organization of anarchists said last night that Czolgosz is not know [sic] to the anarchists here. “Our organization,” he added, “would certainly not approve of such a thing. It was the work of a crank, an insane man, and it is not right to couple such deeds with our society. Of course everybody will talk about us now; say that our society planned the thing. It is a mistaken idea. We have no such ideas, no such policies, in our creed.”
