Life of President McKinley
After column upon column has been written in the newspapers and magazines about the late President McKinley, the story of his life and tragic death comes out in the more enduring form of a book. A work which is well worth possessing and which is written with accuracy and grace of diction is “The Authentic Life of President McKinley, Memorial Edition,” from the pen of Alexander K. McClure, the scholarly editor of the Philadelphia Times. Mr. McClure wrote a biography of Abraham Lincoln, and he knew William McKinley as intimately, perhaps, as any public man of his time. He has a wide knowledge of public affairs and is pre-eminently qualified to write this latest work. It is profusely illustrated with portraits and scenes of the President’s last days and is a valuable acquisition to any library. It is of particular interest to Buffalonians. Published by H. E. Pendry, Buffalo, N. Y. Cloth, $1.50.
