The spirit of Americanism is beginning to manifest itself throughout our broad land. Every day brings fresh news of the arrest of anarchists and dispersing of their meetings and not seldom do we see an item where an anarchist has found it wise to leave his particular locality for parts unknown. It makes our heart swell with an honest American pride to read an article where a band of patriots (vulgarly called a mob) made a traitorous anarchist look for a more congenial clime, and we are happy to say that we have read several such articles. The will of the American people has been flagrantly violated by a small band of murderous minds and a weak headed tool, and now these same American patriots show the love they bear their country and its institutions by clamoring for revenge on the ignorant assassins who think they can overthrow all we hold sacred by their murderous methods. When a political fanatic attempts to strike a death blow to the fundamental principles of our government, he has not only the police to deal with but the entire liberty loving population. The anarchists have discovered this and if they have a particle of brain (which we doubt very much) they will profit by the knowledge.
