News Made Him Despondent

Cincinnati Restaurateur Committed Suicide by Shooting.

CINCINNATI, O., Sept. 14.—Edward W. Bayliss, proprietor of the Stag and of the cafe at the zoological gardens in this city, committed suicide today by shooting. His place was the rendezvous of prominent men and especially of local politicians. He was a most enthusiastic admirer of President McKinley and became despondent over the news from Buffalo.
