M’Kinley’s Death

Five years ago President McKinley was assassinated by one Czolgoz, a confessed anarchist.
It was one of the BLACKEST AND MEANEST CRIMES ever committed in the world.
It took out of life, activity and usefulness one of the best and most useful men in American history.
McKinley was not a great man, nor a brilliant man, BUT HE WAS A GOOD MAN and was beloved by the people.
He was not strong enough to withstand some of the worst elements in his party, but that was not his fault.
He was not built on the lines of Roosevelt, and he WOULD NEVER HAVE HAMMERED CONGRESS, as Roosevelt has done.
McKinley’s death was the end of an era of partisanship of the milder type. It ushered in a new era in public affairs.
