I a delicate subject
to approach, and T J
wishes to disclaim any desire to make “politics” out of it, but it would like
to learn the exact difference between downright, murderous, anarchistic utterances
and those of the opposition press during the last four years. We have been told
that McKinley was a “tyrant,” that he was “crushing the liberties of the people,”
that he was “gloating over the shedding of human blood,” that he was converting
the republic into an “empire,” etc. Do such statements help to make anarchists?
If they are true, perhaps it was a good deed to attempt the tyrant’s destruction!
Think these things over.
