Thanksgiving Day
President Roosevelt has issued his proclamation designating Thursday, Nov. 28th, as Thanksgiving Day. He says that in spite of the great disaster that has befallen our nation in the assassination of President McKinley, no people have such abundant cause for thanksgiving as we have, and recommends that on Thanksgiving Day the people throughout the land cease from their wonted occupations, and at their several homes and places of worship reverently thank the Giver of all good for the countless blessings of our national life.
