Band Played Prophetic Selection
CLEVELAND, O., Sept. 11.—Colonel Myron T. Herrick, who had been in Buffalo with the president yesterday says that in the course of a conversation with Professor Lund, the leader of the famous orchestra that was stationed in the Temple of Music at the exposition grounds when the president was shot, he learned of an almost prophetic incident that occurred a few minutes before the attempted assassination. “Mr. Lund, said,” continued Mr. Herrick, “that only a moment or two before the shots rang out in the big building his orchestra had played a German piece of music entitled ‘The Cursed Bullet,’ from Der Freischutz.”
