The story of the negro bearing down the assassin of the president, etc., is very nice. But there is more poetry than truth about it. Secret service men say he had nothing to do with the capture of Czolgosz and really was in the way. Too bad to spoil such a good story about the dusky youth, but truth must prevail regardless of reputations.
