Miller Saw Shooting
DES MOINES, Ia., Sept. 17.—Mr. James Miller, state mine inspector, returned Friday from Buffalo. He stood within a few feet of the president at the time of the shooting. He did not see the assassin fire the shots, but saw him afterwards when he was hurried away. He saw the president carried out of the music hall. Mr. Miller makes the third Des Moines person who saw the assassination. Mr. T. M. Langan and Miss Tillie Duggan witnessed the tragedy also.
