$9,750 Raised for McKinley Monument
A meeting of the McKinley Monument Association was held this afternoon at 100 Broadway. Ex-Secretary Cornelius N. Bliss presided. It was announced that $9,750 had already been subscribed. This sum included one subscription of $5,000, three of $1,000 each, three of $500 each, and one of $250. It was decided to place subscription books in every bank and trust company in the State and also to purchase a number of small glass boxes to be placed in public places.
