Dr. McBurney Says Danger Is Now Passed
WRITTEN BY REQUEST BY DR. M
BURNEYBUFFALO, N. Y., Sept. 10.
The President’s condition to-night is all that
could be asked for. Four days have now elapsed since the injury took place.
His progress since the operation up to this point has been so uniformly good
that one may fairly and honestly say that the serious danger which in any such
case might occur may be considered as escaped.
I see no reason to expect any important complications,
and I fully believe that Mr. McKinley will entirely recover. It is true that
possible disturbances might still arise, but I look for their occurrence after
this time as improbable in the extreme. Nevertheless every possible care and
attention will be continuously given to anticipate and avoid the most unexpected
incidents.
