Angry Crowd Called for Rope
D
, Ind., Sept. 11—A stranger who made the remark that he was glad McKinley had been shot, and that the President deserved what he had received, was driven out of Munroe [sic] this morning. Scarcely had he made the remark before he was confronted by a crowd of angry citizens, who ordered him to leave. He hesitated about going until some one in the crowd said, “Boys, get a rope,” after which he did not delay his departure.
