Angry Crowd Called for Rope
D, Ind., Sept. 11—A stranger who made the remark that he was glad McKinley had been shot, and that the President deserved what he had received, was driven out of Munroe [sic] this morning. Scarcely had he made the remark before he was confronted by a crowd of angry citizens, who ordered him to leave. He hesitated about going until some one in the crowd said, “Boys, get a rope,” after which he did not delay his departure.
