In the tremendous stress and press of news matter at Buffalo since Czolgosz fired his fatal shot the Associated Press system of collecting and distributing trustworthy information has scored a signal triumph. Its reports have been copious, complete, lucid and graphic, and throughout a week of intense public anxiety and suspense its masterly news from Buffalo has been popularly recognized as an unfailing source of reliable intelligence. In conjunction with the various reports of special correspondents at the scene, the running daily recital of events of the tragedy by the Associated Press representatives completely covered the ground, leaving no gaps to be filled in by the vivid imaginations of future historians.
