For a Memorial Window
Long Branch to Honor the Memory of McKinley and Hobart.
Public interest is aroused over the project to erect a memorial window to the memory of President McKinley and Vice President Hobart in the First Reformed church, the oldest religious organization in Long Branch. When the original church was built, in 1849, Addison W. Hobart, father of the late vice president, was a member of the building committee. Mr. Hobart was the village school teacher. The birthplace of the late vice president is on the same street, less than a quarter of a mile away.
