Anarchy’s Queen for Peace
Declares That the Killing of Monarchs Will Cease, as It Hurts the Cause.
Kings and queens may get out of their bomb-proof
jackets, for Emma Goldman has granted them immunity from further attack. America’s
leading female anarchist has returned from the Paris convention of “Reds” from
all over the world, where it was decreed that there should be no more killing
of crowned heads. Miss Goldman breathes of sweet peace. Says she:
“Under anarchy there would be no crime. There
would be no need for any one to steal, because all would have enough to live
on. Anarchists as a rule are unselfish. No one would demand more than another.
Everything would be equalized. There would be no accumulation of wealth. The
desire for wealth, after all, is childish. It is like little children who want
more toys. It means a lack of intelligence. Wealth does not bring happiness.”
