The Personal News [excerpt]

     Chief of Police Thomas Barry and wife have returned from the Pan American, the chief being on the grounds when President McKinley was shot.

     Mr. and Mrs. John F. Atkinson and family have arrived home after spending several weeks in Campbellford and Toronto, Canada, Niagara Falls and Buffalo. The party was near President McKinley at the Temple of Music when the attempt was made on his life and saw the would be assassin when he was thrown to the ground.
