Thoughts [excerpt]

THE results are proving that it would have been a good plan for the capitalists to have hired Czolgosz to commit his idiotic crime. The wanton killing of McKinley is now being used as an excuse for the passage of laws to prevent criticism of public officials, discussion of public measures, and prevent a change for the better in political or economic conditions. “Whom the gods would destroy,” etc.
