Yellow journalism is partially responsible for the lack of respect for public officials shown by the mobs in the cities. In their efforts to portray their ideas of men they resort to the familiar means, exaggeration and silly people think it the real thing. There has been a great uproar against yellow journalism since the assination [sic] of President McKinley but yellow journalism will continue to thrive as long as people will buy yellow papers. It is the circulation that brings advertising. Every reader of the New York Journal is particeps criminis with Wm. Heart [sic] in his responsibility for the growth of anarchism in this country.
