Notes of the Week
[excerpt]

AS everyone knows, Czolgosz has suffered the extreme penalty of the law for his terrible crime. Showmen were naturally to the fore in their efforts to make capital out of the affair, and the proprietors of several dime museums and other exhibitions literally fought to obtain possession of the body for the purpose of exhibiting it. One telegraphed to the prison offering £1,000 for the corpse, and the proprietor of a kinoscope exhibition offered the authorities £500 to be allowed to take an animated photograph of the electrocution. Needless to say, all the offers were refused; but those who wish to secure a counterpart of the murderer can do so from Messrs. Stewart, Sons & De Witt, who have produced some striking models of the assassin.
