Astrologer
Foretold the Occurrence by the Stars.
Hoboken, N. J., Sept. 7.—(Spl.)—Astrologer Gustave
Meyer, famous for his predictions of great events, on May 21, sent the following
to President McKinley:
“Your wife will live, but you are in danger of
assassination.” Secresary [sic] Cortelyou acknowledged the telegram.
Meyer said today: “At this time Mars, the warlike and hostile planet, is in
McKinley’s ascendant and the planet of Neptune, denoting death or critical illness
is in the eighth house. Mars is in the twelfth house, meaning secret foes or
assassination.
“If the president lives he will pass the critical
period around the 26th or 27th of this month.”
