[excerpt]

So many people can be found who know Czolgsz, the would-be assassin, that the circumstance has lost all its interets [sic]. A great many of the younger generation of Polish residents remember him well, but he is not remembered as possessing any special characteristics. It appears by the records that he was born in Detroit just as printed in his confession, published in this paper in full Tuesday. From there the family moved to Presque Isle county [sic] and subsequently to this city. When he moved away from here he was too young to mingle with anarchists, even had three [sic] been any here, and must have acquired his education ln tnis [sic] direction after leaving Alpena. No significance can be attached to the circumstance of his having lived here. If the city will act promptly in any case where there is evidence of a [sic] anarchy teachings, it will quickly offset any prejudice which there may be against the city.
