Insane Because of Czolgosz
A Maryland Woman Becomes Demented Through Reading of the Assassin.
This dispatch comes from Walkersville, Md.: “As a sequel to the crime of Czolgosz, Miss Florence Cecil, of this place, is a raving maniac. Since the assassination of President McKinley she has read and heard so much of the crime and its perpetrator that she recently began to give evidence of mental derangement, and yesterday went into violent hysterics, crying she was the cause of the murder of the President and that she should be electrocuted for the dead. She declared her spirit had made Czolgosz commit the crime, and that, as she was the real assassin, she was to be executed in his place.”
