Emma Goldman Talks
The Queen of Anarchy Denounces the Police—No Plot.
Chicago, Sept. 22.—“You cannot tell what to expect
from an American court and American police,” said Emma Goldman at the county
jail to-day. “In consequence, I cannot predict the result of my hearing Tuesday.
If any person except the man who fired the shot is responsible for the death
of President McKinley, it is Chief Bull, of Buffalo. He was there to protect
the president and he did not do it. Now he raises the cry of plot. There was
no plot.”
The hearing of the anarchists on a petition for
a writ of habeas corpus will be held Tuesday morning before Judge Chetlain.
