We Want Good People Only
Public sentiment in his [sic]
country will undoubtedly be in favor of the prompt passage of the general immigration
bill prepared by Chairman Shattuc of the House Committee on Immigration and
Naturalization, which has now been favorably reported and is awaiting congressional
action.
Especially will that provision of the bill be
heartily approved which excludes from admission to the United States all anarchists
or persons who believe in or advocate the overthrow by force or violence of
all governments of forms of law or the assassination of public officials.
Americans have had more than enough of these gentry.
They drew the dead line against anarchists on the day that Anarchist Czolgosz
shot down President McKinley as the latter extended his hand to greet Czolgosz
as an American citizen.
