Where Hearst Gets His Support

We observe that the New York dry goods merchants, headed by the virtuous John Wanamaker, still pour their money into Hearst’s coffers.
Perhaps when the red flag is raised in New York and a new Jacobin club organizes crowds of sans-culottes to sack their stores they will be sorry that they gave this moral monster the means of spreading his gospel of spoliation and bloodshed, far and wide.
The motto of every ordinarily honest man in the country should be, “Down with Hearst and his papers!”
