They do some things well in France, and the way they deal with men who make public announcement ot [sic] sympathy with anarchists and anarchists’ crime is one of these things. A commercial traveler was arrested the other day in a cafe of Courbevoie, near Paris, while expressings [sic] approval of the crimes of Czolgosz and Caserio. To commend an anarchist crime in a public place is a punishable offense according to French law. This is wholesome treatment, and the French method is respectfully called to the attention of the lawmakers in America who are considering how to handle a subject that presses for proper treatment. A term in prison, at hard labor, is a punishment befitting the crime of expressing public approval of assassination.
