From Neighboring States [excerpt]
Rev. Father C. Kozlowski, a venerable priest in charge of the Polish Catholic church at Lemont, Ill., was the first to give religious instruction to Leon Czolgosz, the president’s assassin. Czolgosz when a boy of 10 lived in Alpena, Mich., and attended the church over which Father Kozlowski presided. The priest says Czolgosz was bright and had no characteristics different from those of the ordinary boy.
