Dr. Shrady Sorry the X-Ray Was Not Used

     New York: Dr. George F. Shrady regrets exceedingly that the X-ray was not used at once on the President, to find the ball and extract it. Dr. Shrady shares the belief of Dr. Park that death was due to blood poisoning, caused by penetration of the pancreas as the bullet passed through Mr. McKinley’s body and the escape of the pancreatic juices, which flooded the bullet track and induced gangrene of the tissues. When this gangrenous affection became general the case was hopeless.
     Other doctors think that a verdigris collection on the old bullet and copper cartridge may have poisoned the President’s wound.
