Albuquerque, N. M., April 12.—Antonio Maggio, who has been confined in jail at Las Cruzes [sic] since shortly after the assassination of President McKinley on suspicion of having knowledge of an anarchist plot against the President’s life, has been released. It was said that Maggio, who was a member of the Andrews Opera House orchestra, had predicted the death of President McKinley months before he was shot at Buffalo. His release was ordered by Judge F. W. Parker, at the request of the United States District Attorney, W. C. Reid, and the case dismissed.
