Had Another Name


Czolgosz Known in Cleveland as Czolkowski. Never Worked.

     A Polish journalist who has been visiting friends i[n] this city has giv[e]n [t]he local Poles much information con[c]erning Czolgosz. He says that he knew [t]he man well when he lived in Cleveland. At that time he was known by the [n]ame of Czolkowski. He was a worth[l]ess chap and about the only thing he [k]new him to do was to work around [s]ome of the wine houses.
     The people in the neighborhood did not [l]ike him and looked upo[n] him as a vagabond.
