Leon Czolgosz (trial: personal response).
Named persons
Leon Czolgosz.

There is, it seems, a general demand for privacy in the trial of the assassin Czolgosz, and we are at a loss to know why this brute, whose hands are red with the blood of the nationís highest official, the same having been confessed by his foul lips, should be allowed a trial of any kind, either public or private. He sought notoriety, he has gained it, and now the blotting out of his worthless life is all that can be done to attone [sic] for the high crime he has committed, and the sooner it is done the better it would suit us.
